What is Stories Cafe?
Stories Cafe a luxurious and welcoming combination of a newsletter and a curated online library café for thoughtful readers and curious minds.
You can sign up and join me as I explore culture, literature, movies, archetypes, and lifestyle philosophy—all with the aim of inspiring a more deliberate, reflective approach to everyday life.
Each essay and podcast episode is an invitation for you to sit down for a few moments—perhaps with a cup of coffee or tea—to pause, reflect, and find new meaning.
Subscribe to the free plan now so you never miss an update.
What to Expect
When you subscribe, new content will arrive in your inbox once or twice a week, offering:
Insightful essays on books, culture, and philosophy
Short podcast episodes for instant reflection and inspiration
An archive that feels like your own private library
You can read or listen at your own pace—directly from your inbox, or by stepping into the Stories Café experience on the Substack website or app.
Subscription Plans
Free Plan: Receive an inspiring monthly Postcard: an intimate, personal note from my favorite corners of the world: a London café, a Parisian park bench, an Edinburgh bookshop, or a quiet seaside view.
Paid Plan: Open the door to my weekly Letter, an exploration of literature, film, culture, archetypes, and the art of living deliberately. You will also have access to my growing archive of 50+ essays, podcasts, and videos.
The Virtual Café Exclusive Plan: For those who wish to go deeper, this plan includes all of the above, plus bespoke live online classes and direct time with me in a small group setting.
The paid subscriptions begin at just €10/month (you pay in your local currency) less than the cost of a café visit.
About Me
I am Annette Wernblad, educator, author, and lifelong flâneuse.
Since I taught myself to read while still in nursery school, I have been fascinated by the deeper meanings within the stories we love. This passion has shaped every part of my life. From publishing two internationally recognized books, to decades of university level teaching and lecturing on literature, film, and psychology, to the carefully curated content I now share here inside Stories Café, I bring both scholarship and soul to everything I share.
This is a place for you to slow down, reflect, and invite beauty and deeper meaning into your daily life—one story at a time. I am so thrilled to welcome you here.
